Pat Eckert is one of Europe’s leading water sommeliers and the founder of Fine Liquids, a globally recognized platform for rare and exceptional mineral waters. His expertise spans sensory analysis, water-food pairing, and the cultural storytelling of water.
He is the author of Die Farben des Wassers (2024) and is completing his second book, We Are Water — The Drop Beyond, which combines science, narrative, and a real space mission in collaboration with artist Samuel Stubblefield.
Pat is the curator of the AQAPOLIS archive — the world’s most comprehensive water bottle collection with over 3,500 specimens from 100+ countries across four centuries. In 2026 he launches the Six Continents Award, the world’s first independent, lab-verified global energy drink index.
